About HCPAC

Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center is an educational, theater-based ministry for students and young adults. While other arts organizations focus solely on the end product, HCPAC is more interested in the process. Not only do participants receive collegiate and professional level training in the arts, but we also strive to equip them with life skills. Part of that endeavor includes in-depth Bible study during rehearsals. HCPAC is interested in impacting students' lives in the here and now, and for all of eternity.

HCPAC has been producing quality, family-oriented performances for nearly 40 years. Families are able to attend shows on par with the area's community and professional theaters for half the price, with the assurance that the content will be uplifting.

Many of HCPAC's student actors go on to have professional careers on stage. We also boast a wide array of professional directors, writers and designers, ensuring a high level product. Each year's theater season also includes at least two original productions, completely written in-house.

The ministry of HCPAC extends beyond the classroom and stage. Thousands of audience members are impacted by what they view each year, particularly as the gospel is presented in a new and exciting way through the annual, original Passion Play. Enriching adult programming occurs every month. Weekly student activities are featured Saturday evenings through IMPACT, as well as other LightForce activities such as the annual Turkey Skate, lockins, camps, and retreats.
